A&A Racing

Rider/Owner - (Bad Andy) Andrew Abney

No this Andy doesn't destroy pizzas. Andrew began riding at the age of 15. The first motorcycle that he rode was a 1975 Kawasaki KZ900 that his father owned. Andrew recalls having to ride around without stopping until he got back to where his father was because he was unable to hold the motorcycle up by himself. The following year he competed for the first time at the old Connecticut Dragstrip in Colchester,CT. The first pass down the quarter mile started a craving to make him want to excel in the sport of motorcycle drag racing.

In the years to follow Andrew went through the many classes of motorcycles competing in everything from Street E.T. to Pro Stock Bike. After obtaining his Competition License and then his Pro Stock Motorcycle license he started to focus on perfecting his abilities and forming a competitive racing operation. Andrew's job as a police officer keeps him in reality with what's going on in the world. He has used his racing program to promote drug awareness and the importance of education. His multi colored police paint schemes that he uses on his bike has help him to capture audiences attention while spreading these messages.

Andrew knows that persistence, talent, and the ability to accept your loses with your wins are the key ingredients to being successful. Andrew strives to be an example for present and future racers to follow in.
